Description
Reduce risks with redefined safety guidance for model rocket manufacturing with NFPA 1125.
NFPA 1125 provides requirements for safety in the manufacture of model and high power rocket motors, and ensures reliability of rocket motors and motor-reloading kits and their components.
New in this 2007 edition are:
- Specific requirements based on the revised definition of hybrid rocket motor to permit hybrid rocket motors that are fueled with liquid fuels, in addition to the traditional solid and gaseous fuels found in hybrid rocket motors
- A specific requirement that the maximum number of times a reloadable casing can be used must be indicated on the casing
- A new definition for reloadable motor system
- A revised definition for hybrid rocket motor to include liquid fuels for hybrid rocket motors
All definitions were reviewed to correlate with the NFPA Glossary of Terms, and the entire Code has been reorganized and updated for easier use and consistency with other NFPA documents.
