Protective Barriers for Minimizing Preservative Migration From Piles, Poles, and Timber Used in Aquatic Applications
standard by American Wood Protection Association, 2020

Category:

Description

The purpose of these protocols is to provide a standard for spray on or compression fitted barrier systems for minimizing environmental contamination and human exposure for waterborne preservatives contained in pressure-treated piles, poles and timber used in aquatic applications. Following treatment, a protective barrier is applied to cover the waterborne preservatives either by spray on, or compression fitted, such as tightly wrapped or shrink fitted, to prevent the preservative components within the wood from moving into the environment.
