Description
This is the second in a series of articles based on the research used to support a new ASHRAE Self-Directed Learning Course on the design and control of chilled water plants. Piping arrangements for chiller-condensers and cooling towers, including the use of variable speed condenser water pumps and water-side economizers is discussed. The next installment of the series will cover pipe sizing and optimizing ?T.
