Description
Air conditioning in industrial plants is not a luxury; it is essential. One is entitled to a working environment reasonably close to that of one’s home, and this requires air conditioning. Air conditioning also reduces energy consumption.
A study by J.B. Olivieri and his associates of 14 industrial plants ranging in size from500,000 ft2 (46,450 m2) to 2,000,000 ft2 (185,800 m2) showed that air conditioning had a lower first cost and used less energy than a ventilation system.
The objective of this research project is to study the effects that radiant cooling panels have on temperature stratification and to compare the effects with those achieved with a combined supply-return outlet.
