Description
In order to select an optimum system for any given cooling and dehumidification application, the performance of the system for design and part-load operations has to be known. A mathematical model was developed to predict the year-round performance of commercially available coil-type liquid sorbent systems. Performance models for different components of a liquid system were used to develop computer subroutines for each component. These subroutines, along with other design information, were put together to simulate the year-round performance of two sample applications. The designer needs year-round performance information in order to select an optimum cooling and dehumidification system.
