AT-2821 — Air-to-Water Heat Pump Chiller System—An Analysis of Variance in Annual Electricity Consumption

$7.50

Conference Proceeding by ASHRAE, 1984

Category:

Description

For the purpose of conserving energy, it is vitally important to analyze the annual consumption of electricity used in the air-conditioning systems of buildings. For this purpose, a simulation program was developed for calculating the annual electricity consumption of the air-to-water heat pump chiller system of a building’s air-conditioning system. Using this program, an analysis of variance was made on the annual electricity consumption of an air-to-water heat pump chiller. As a result, one can determine the quantitative effects on the annual electricity consumption in a Tokyo building caused by the building’s structure, internally generated heat, air-conditioning conditions, and method of control of the air-to-water heat pump chiller. Moreover, a simple method to calculate the amount of the annual consumption of electricity was devised.
