An introductoryoverviewoftheestablishedwaystomodelair owsinhygrothermalsimulationtools and currentdevelopmentsinthis eldaregiven.Takingintoaccount3Dair owsinthejointsof the insulationasinviscidincompressibleair owsprovedtobeapossibilitytomatchmeasurement data withtheresultsofacoupledheat,airandmoisture(HAM)simulation.Inthisapproach, space availabletoair owwasmodelledaspermeablecells.Aleakageinducingatimedependant pressure di erencewasmodelledasamass owsources.Thedatausedforcomparisonconsistsofan experimentwherethee ectofleakageswhenexposedtopressuredi erenceshasbeeninvestigated.
