Description
Higher density and new generations of telecommunication equipment are calling for new air-conditioning systems that can accommodate significantly increased cooling load to the rooms housing telecommunication equipment. These types of facilities are called central offices. Traditionally mixing ventilation systems have been used to cool central office space. This paper describes how applying thermal displacement ventilation allows lowering the space temperature without increasing the air-conditioning system’s cooling capacity.
