Description
Discusses the design principles and advantages and limitations of displacement ventilation. Notes how some of the limitations can be overcome with the use of ceiling-mounted, low-impulse air delivery devices (air showers) designed to produce a steady, slow, downward current of air that does not mix with the surrounding air. Describes how the designer, by varying the space between the air showers, can tailor the system to solve various ventilation problems. including preventing pollutants from entering the area beneath the air inlet.
