Description
IAPMO IGC 344-2019e1 covers flow control water conservation systems intended for residential and commercial water supply applications and specifies requirements for materials, physical characteristics, performance testing, and markings.
Flow control water conservation systems designed to reduce water consumption, thereby, achieving water conservation, reducing gallons per minute in non-volumetric applications during high periods of demand.
An example of flow control water conservation systems covered by these standards is shown in Figure 1 and may be constructed, as follows:
- (a) Inlet and Outlet Pipe, Copper Type L;
- (b) Cast Copper Alloy Flanges, Soldered;
- (c) Butterfly Valves; and
- (d) Orifice Plate.
