This model course aims to provide knowledge to those who may be designated to perform the duties and responsibilities of a Port Facility Security Officer (PFSO) with respect to the security of a port facility, for ensuring the development (or for developing) of a Port Facility Security Assessment, for ensuring the development (or for developing) of, implementing, maintaining and updating a Port Facility Security Plan (PFSP) and for liaising with Ship Security Officers (SSOs) and with Company Security Officers (CSOs).
