Mold in Dwellings — A Building Physics Related Approach

$7.50

Conference Proceeding by ASHRAE, 2001

Description

Contrary to popular belief, surface condensation is not necessary for fungal defacement. Water activity above a threshold value suffices for mold growth. To study mold risk and establish performance criteria for a building, a thorough analysis of the heat, air, and moisture balance is needed at building, room, and surface level.
