Description
Refer to NFPA 1407, Standard for Training Fire Service Rapid Intervention Crews to develop a highly disciplined operational capability to rescue fire fighters who become lost, injured, trapped, incapacitated, or disoriented in the course of an emergency scene or training operation. Requirements are consistent with NFPA 1710, Standard for the Organization and Deployment of Fire Suppression Operations, Emergency Medical Operations, and Special Operations to the Public by Career Fire Departments; NFPA 1720, Standard for the Organization and Deployment of Fire Suppression Operations, Emergency Medical Operations, and Special Operations to the Public by Volunteer Fire Departments; and NFPA 1500, Standard on Fire Department Occupational Safety and Health Program.
