NY-87-13-3 — Air Movements — The Dispersion of Pollutants: with Visual Illustrative Methods

$7.50

Conference Proceeding by ASHRAE, 1987

Category:

Description

The significance of dilution ventilation in removing noxious pollutants is less than is generally believed. In unstable and periodic vortices, the concentrations of a dangerous substance may be several times as high as in the air extracted by ventilation. For this reason, investment in ventilation should be made only after extensive studies and should be selectively directed toward each source of pollution.
