This study was carried out for the Canadian Government. The objectives were:
- To provide detailed conceptual designs for conventional and solar-assistedmechanical systems for the building.
- To develop the designs so that the systems can be analyzed by computersimulation in a future phase of this work.
- To provide detailed, itemized cost information for each system.

Economic analysis, computer simulation of thermal performance and significantarchitectural changes were not part of the objectives of this study.
