Description
The purpose of this Code is to provide an internationalstandard for ships using low-flashpoint fuel, other thanships covered by the IGC Code. The basic philosophyof this Code is to provide mandatory provisions forthe arrangement, installation, control and monitoringof machinery, equipment and systems usinglow-flashpoint fuel to minimize the risk to the ship, itscrew and the environment, having regard to the natureof the fuels involved.
